Come join us for a captivating train excursion through the Southern New Jersey countryside. This historic rail line dating back to 1863 will lead you on a journey back in time to when riding the rails were a part of everyday life, and traveling by train was an event in itself.

We are honored to have been voted the 2023 Best Recreation Destination in Salem County, NJ! This past year has been a whirlwind for us, from launching Excursions, restoring historic railcars (and locomotives!) and beginning plans for our new property.
But the highlight of our year has been meeting our guests and getting to know our community and local business partners better than ever!
It is with this we would like to not only say thank you for this award, but also congratulations to all of the runner-ups in all categories. Salem County has some of the best businesses, services, and events around and we are honored and humbled to be in your company!

Great for the family! We rode the scenic excursion on Thanksgiving weekend. The staff were wonderful, it was a great experience. We are thrilled that they will be having more events in the spring. Thanks for coming to Salem County!

We rode the Woodstown Central Railroad this afternoon and had a great time! Everyone was so friendly and the train was absolutely beautiful! The workmanship in the restoration was so impressive. We’ll definitely take a ride again!! Definitely a good experience! Highly recommend!

I was on the 12 o'clock scenic excursion and absolutely loved it I liked hearing about the history of the line and plans for the future for the line I enjoyed listening to the history of the caboose and the work that went into restoring it after it burned to the ground in 2001 the ride was smooth and comfortable and Chase and Shawn were both great car hosts I would definitely recommend the Woodstown Central Railroad and plan to do more excursions on it in the future
